Default Adjusting Preload on shocks

Seems like this topic has been beaten to death. However, going to throw my two cents it. It's really simple if you don't let yourself get confused by some of the videos and other info that people screwup say clock wise or counter clockwise. After I had seen some videos out there the guys are say clock wise while they are turning the spanner counter clockwise. That's just friggin confusing.. It's very simple. To increase preload. Use some of oil or screwloose on the nuts. Back them off. Then as you are looking at the shock plate that has the spanner holes it it. Turn shocks equally COUNTER CLOCK WISE. I usually clean it up a little and put a mark on the can with a small brush and paint. It helps when you are turning the can and knowing how many turns you are going. I usually go with one full turn increments then try it and see how the ride is. Factory setting and for me too soft especially for two people. I use my service manual. But find their instructions are a little gauge on this topic. Now to loosen the preload do the same thing mark it ten as looking at the can and holes for the spanner go CLOCK WIZE. only reason I'm redirecting this is because of some of the videos I have seen. The guys are stiffening the suspension and turned the can the right way but day the opposite. Pod luck Ride safe and watch for the cages !!
