DKCustoms hooked it up for me
Super happy with the speed of DK and willingness to work with me.
A newer Slim/Cross dash doesn't have the ignition switch, it looks even cleaner, smoother. Might be a perfect look for the style you got going. You'll have to get a new tank plate due to the different stud location.

The top plate bolt location is about an inch different. The biggest problem is finding the parts, they are rare. I made an automated eBay search and it took a few months. I don't think I spent more than a couple hundred.
Dash, top plate, carriage bolt, instrument lights, and you may need a different speedo retainer. I have a Dakota gauge so that didn't apply here. Plug n play. No wiring problem.
I fixed a dent in the tank, removed the badges, and smoothed over the center. The good thing about Harley gloss black is that it is simple, your denim probably isn't.
I'll make a urethane mold trim piece for the gap under the tip of the dash where the panel is absent, make it look factory. I have a black switch that I need to re-key if I can figure that out. I also have a black bezel for the gauge. Slowly coming around to what I want.
Bike is rarely that clean, just changed the oil and removed a screw from the center of my rear tire. I tend to only wash things before I have to work on them. Hope that helps!
