2001 Heritage Softail Classic Speedometer not working
My speedometer is not working at all. It does nothing when I turn it to ignition or accessory or while driving it.
I removed the speed sensor and cleaned and reinstalled it and no change. I checked the back of the speedometer and it is clean and connected.
I would like to check where the speed sensor plugs into the other harness but need help or photos showing where that connection is from the sensor it runs up behind the oil tank but no idea from there. I need to find it even if I need to replace the sensor so if anyone can tell me or show me where that connects I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks in advance.

What I meant to say is that on my 01 Softail, I shorted a wire while changing the bars. The running lights, headlight, brake light all worked fine but nothing happened when I turned on the turn signals. Also the speedometer quit. I fixed the short, replaced the fuse and the speed O and signals worked fine. It is true that sometimes you cannot look at a fuse and tell if it is good or bad. But if your turn signals are blinking and the fuse box on your 01 Softail is the same as my 01 Softail, then I don't think it is the fuse. My next question would be does the odometer come on when you turn the switch on? That will verify if it is an electrical power issue for sure. Mine did not when the fuse was blown. On mine it is the fuse box under the seat. It was the 15amp fuse closest to the rear tire in the middle of the box if I remember correctly.
