New Tri-Bar
I did the front and back; the Smartequalizer from Biketronics does both with the one unit. That said, I am not sure if you can do just one or the other; that would be another question for Mike. (BTW, another reason I like Biketronics is because they were really good to deal with. I got the impression it is a small company and Mike is the owner. If I recall, he is also a EE, which is why I found his info valuable.)
I tried the Kuryakyn signal LED's you speak of before I bought the one's from Mike. They aren't very bright at all, and I thought they looked funny because all you see is a little dot inside a huge lens when they are activated. After seeing both side by side, I really like having the whole lens filled.
One other thing I am wondering is if mine are brighter than the Tri-Bar because they are amber. Maybe the red ones will match better??? Good question for Mike.
BTW, I don't own stock in Biketronics.
He was just very helpful, so I like to return the favor when I can; and if possible, keep others from having to buy 2 sets of LED's for 2 bikes...[:@][:@][:@]
Thanks a lot guy, you just screwedmy last chance to keep some money on my pocket, now I HAVE to call them for a set.
Its a good point about the amber/red brightness thing, I will be sure to ask about it cause I really would like to use red brake/turn setup if possible. There seem to be far too many idiots talking on cell phonesand not paying attention to my a$$ for comfort these days.
So if I can find something thatcan increase the chances of theclown behind me seeing me better/sooner wouldbe a step up in my opinion. That's probably why I'm a little reluctant to take off those ugly side reflectors. Call me a littleparinoid if you like, butit has managed kept me out fromunder car wheels for over 30 years so I think I can live with it. No pun intended.
I'll try to let you know how I make out, I just have tofatten up thewallet a little first.
Again, thanks for the help
Frank
is it true that the load equalizer they come with cuts off hazard functionality?
if so, how exactly do you install a biketronics smart equalizer? does it plug in somewhere or do I have to splice wires? thanks for the help
