I have a cobalt blue 07 rk custom and was looking at the new smokedled tail light (68087-08), and I am torn on whether to get it with the chrome housing or the black housing. I have been doing a lot of searching and I cant find any pic's of the chrome one on a bike yet - curious if anyone here has seen it on a bike or have any thoughts on which housing would look the best on a rk custom..? I have the smoked lenses on both front and rear turn signals.
I will be waiting for that answer cause i did the same thing with turn lenses and i'm looking at the led brake light. I like both but leaning to the black.
If you are going to go witha LED taillight I highly recommend the LED from Custom Dynamics. I have their LED and it blows the others away in terms of brightness. They use the highest quality LEDs which mean they have a wider viewing angle than most LEDs. You can read reviews on the web... But my buddy has the Kuryaken LED and there is no comparison between the two. When mine is lit up at night it literally blinds you if you are looking at it. And during the day it CAN be seen. Others during the day you can't really tell if they are even lit up or not.
Everyone who rides with me is amazed by the lights, day or night. If you are willing to spend a couple hundred dollars and 30 minutes it will definatly improve your being seen by others.
