I KNOW there are at least two guys with them, so I hope they will speak up.
I'm sorta interested it how they like them better, more, or not than the original.
I kinda like the original but think that for short old fart like me the front end could be a just a tad narrower.
I have had one on my bike.not uncomfortable but not nearly as plush as the stock one. nice looking but took it off and put on a cc solo which i like alot better. also the retro puts you lower and a touch farther back.
I like the position I am in better on the retro seat - lower and closer to the frame. Also the retro looks and feels leaner and meaner. But make no mistake - the marshmellow seat is better for the ***, and acts as a separate 'shock' system. My *** would begin to hurt after 75+ minutes on the retro seat, and the bumps you really feel.
If you ride 2-up, the passenger will not like the retro. Even though it is lower, my wife feels higher and not as stable since the pillon is so narrow. I also would feel her move much more on the retro, since any shift affects the center of gravity.
I keep the retro on mine. But I kept the stock seat for long trips and when my wife wants to ride. I just got back from Daytona and am glad I put the marshmellow seat back on for the trip.
I love the stock seat. Been on a few 260 mile rides a few times and never ever got monkey butt. However Id like to see a 60's Retro King/ and queen Chopper seat just to compare.May look awesome. I do knoe JP cycles sells them
Thanks for the input guys. The stock seat is great as far as I'm concerned butI really like the look of the retro seat. I had concernes about the comfort issue. Not so much for me as formy "seat ornament" of 17 years. The passenger area on the retro didn't look all that comfortable in the pictures I've seen. Thanks again for your thoughts. BTW, don't you just LOVE this bike??? Can't wait to see what they do for the 08"s

Amen to that, but I doubt they will do much to it as far as changes. Its still too soon for anything major, give it 5 or so years.
But I willbe interested in getting hold of a copy of thenew 08 accessories catalog, cause that's where there could be some more andbetter add-ons.

Well.....they could make some of the "Bling" that you and I have no doubt spent already standard, but I guess that would make it too easy huh?? LOL!
Ron
I doubt it, that would cut into their aftermarket sales and you KNOW Harleyis notgoing to do anything that dumb. They like the money too much.
