So i got my bobcat in and as expected the instructions suck. I have read older threads that people said use 2 screaming chicken exhaust gaskets per cylinder, DD said use their supplied gaskets. Anyone know the best to go with. Their gaskets look almost like a thin metal ring, vs the flat mesh look on the se ones. Also, it doesn't say anything about removing the retaining rings from the old system either? This is for an M8 114
Just installed DD fatcat on a buddies bike and the DD supplied gaskets leaked no matter what we did. Got stock gaskets, one per cylinder and they didn't leak at all. The stock ones are tapered and seem to allow a better seal. The ones DD send are just a big bulky ring and just didn't seem to seal very well.
Edit: didn't see this was for a m8. The bike I just did was not an m8 so I'm not sure. Sorry

Yea, the ones that they gave me are super thin and look like there is a metal ring around maybe a fiber core. Wish i took a picture of them. i have the flat screaming eagle one at the house. I think i would be safe going with those. I don't want to have to take this bitch back apart because of a leak. I read that people were using two flat gaskets per side. Most of the installs have been on TC, but i figured i would get a better response here. i want to get it back together tonight.
I'll call him in the morning. I got it put on. Used the se gaskets. It when tightend all the way down the weld of the head pipe is right against the head. I dont know if thats how its suppose to be or not. It looks like there is a tiny leak in the back head. I'm going to readjust the nuts tomorrow. I'll see what dd says. I will say for 1k....they could give better instructions.
