My best friend has run into some hard times so I am buying his Sportster off of him and hanging on to it until the day he can (hopefully) buy it back. This was the first Harley I ever rode and I encouraged and helped him in doing a lot of the mods on it so it holds a special place in my heart. Only thing is that he tried to get it painted brandywine and, although the paint is beautiful, the guy just puttoo much pink in the color for me. Maybe a bass boat flake gold or silveris in order? Oh yeah, it's a jockey shifting rigid! I always wanted one but never for my daily rider. This'll fix that situation. Oh yeah, It'll pop wheelies like nobody's business.

Just be careful on that puppie.. I had a similar set-up on my 74 Sporty. I replaced the shocks with strut bars like your buddy. I used to break parts like crazy... ...pee'd blood alot too..
Yeah, I'll probably ride it the way it is for a little while just for the experience and then convert it back to foot shifting and put shocks on it so my girlfriend can ride it. We've talked about getting her a bike for a while now but were waiting until money is really right. I wasn't prepared to buy another bike right now, but my friend needs the money more than I do.I don't thinkmy girl wouldbe too pleased if I went and dropped this cash and got a 2nd bike for myself and still nothing for her to ride. Of course I'll keep all of the parts though! And yes, I really do hope he can buy it back soon. I know he's gonna be going crazy without it. He'll probably get a little old $500 cheapoand chop it down to ride for now.
