I was thinking the other day that about 4 different wrench sizes, a few Allen keys and a screwdriver with a few different bits might be enough tools to cover the kind of repairs that can be done roadside. As well as some tiewraps, electrical tape and mechanic wire... could be fairly compact as well. Now where to store it...
I'll go over the bike and in a couple days and list the common tools needed as I plan to make this kit to keep on my fatboy.
Obviously I'm referring to simple repairs or lose hardware. No torque wrenches or piston ring compressors.
So here's my question for you all, what's in your kit and why? And... where do you store tools of you don't have saddle bags? Show me your make shift storage!
Pretty much what you listed plus a pair of needle nose and regular pliers. I have saddle bags so no issue with storage.

Old thread, but I carry a lot of tools on my bikes. each bike has it's own kit. I have had little things come loose and been able to fix on the road. I would have been waiting hours for a tow truck. I don't want to be late for work, late getting home, talking to cops when I don't want, ect, when I can simply fix it myself.
