I have an '06 Heritage with the big bore II kit and bigshots. I picked it up from the dealership in March of '06. The dealership did all of the installs including remapping the fuel for the upgrades. I took my bike back to the dealership last week because of the recalled injectors on the '06 models. When I went to pick the bike up, they told me I owed 150 because the new injectors required a different fuel map than what I had on there. I asked why it wasnt covered under the recall and they said that if the bike was stock, then they could put the fuel map for the 25 degree injector on free. But, since my bike wasnt stock, i had to pay for the download. Does this sound right to y'all?
Exammo,
I have the SERT, Stage 1, and had several issues with stalling, hesitation, pick up issues. Dealer finally replaced my injectors at 10k service. They did not dyno tune it again, but they didn't charge me to "adjust the SERT". I agree with purple haze.
I bought my Springer Classic in 2006 in Lancaster,Pa at Willow Street HD I am in Fayetteville,Pa a 70 mile run so I aquired M&S HD in Chambersburg,Pa They sold me my SE slip ons and they did the PC and SE air cleaner and dynoed and remapped it for me and gave me a good deal from what the original price was, great people to deal with and if they can give you a break where ever they can. I brought my Springer in and inquired about the recall they sayed no problem and switched them out for the 25 degree CVO's and remapped/dynoed it everything NO CHARGE WARRANTIED ITEM! Sounds like the dealer you are using obviously wants to play games and screw you if at all possible.......Bad JuJu! make a formal complaint to HD and Customer service this is something that is frowned upon by the corp and the dealership will have to answer for it! Eventualy they will give you a call remedying the situation. If you do not act nothing will be done. After that find another dealer that is willing to gladly welcome you as they know that your business will lead to purchases , work orders and possibly in the future a new bike sales.
