Howdy all, i am In need of some help here. I am trying to decide which route to go, Fat Boy Lo, Fat bob, or street bob. 80% of my riding will be within an hour from home, but i also want to be able to travel 4-6 hours comfortably. I am a newer rider, 6’ 250. Wanting to get some pros and cons from people who own/have owned any of these bikes. Thanks!
Each of them will be suitable for the type of riding you will do. But, our pros and cons may not be your pros and cons. As QC mentioned, go test ride all three and see which one YOU like the best.
All three bikes are excellent imo.Had a 12 Street Bob,loved it.Throw some detachable bags and windshield and you can go anywhere with it in comfort.Strip it down and it's a cool around town hot rod.Almost bought a 13 Fat Bob.Another great Dyna that you can set up anyway you want and probably one of the best HD ever made.
The FBL is beautiful.Looks awesome stripped down and again bags and windshield you can go anywhere.
My SB was great but I wanted to go back to a bigger bike (prior to the SB I had a RKC) So I put down a deposit on a Fat Bob then went to Fla.for a few days with friends and rented a HSC and that was it.Fell in love with it.When I got home went to the dealer and bought one.Never looked back.Best of both worlds.
I think after riding all three your gonna like the FBL.Im 6' 230lbs.But you can't go wrong with any of the three.Good luck....
