IAC cycling
Check and clean ignition , clean contacts on the Kill switch also . Check the back of the fuse box as well , seems water will run down behind it and cause corrosion there as well .
received and installed ECM. IAC no longer cycling. However, bike would start, but immediately die. after countless emails back and forth with seller, it turns out that when you change an ECM, you have to go through a "Password Reset" procedure to get the ECM and the Security system to get along. Copy of procedure is attached for anyone to utilize at their discretion. takes about an hour. Probably good idea to have charger on battery for duration of procedure, as you generally have to have ignition on for most of the time. after procedure completed, bike starts, runs and IAC cycling issue resolved.
i would like to give a shout out to www.ebay.com/usr/lofatimus
he was VERY VERY helpful throughout this process. it took almost a full month to get to the end result. at one point, he was absolutely willing to offer complete refund for return of ECM. customer service is a lost art these days, but he was absolutely TOP NOTCH...
