Wagondog, Just a question, did you try removing the bucket and use the included mounting ring? The Headlight that i got wouldn't fit in the bucket. I could have modified the bucket by cutting out the back but for the price of the mounting ring ($10) this would give me the option of going back to stock if the headlight goes out and I half to wait for a replacement. Anyway you got it in,
KenK.
Ken, sounds like we had the same problem. The spring mounted mount would have never fit in the bucket. The bulb retainer ring was longer than stock so the bulb couldnt be tightened down so I used the stock retainer ring.
My resolution was use the new bulb with the stock retainer ring secured to the rim of the bucket in existing screw holes with #10x3/4 self tapping screws.
The stock bulb was mounted the same way so alignment must be somewhere behind the bucket where it attaches to the fork. The finished produce is rock solid and I didnt destroy anything incase I want to go back to stock or the new owner does
The 4.5 projector padding light bulbs are 100% simpler that the headlight except for 4 simple wrap and solder connections, really nice plug connectors with the $119 kit.
so this is the finished headlight and 1 finished padding light compared to the stock bulbs
Last little bit of advice for anyone installing projector bulbs with polycarbonate front covers. WEAR GLOVES WHEN TOUCHING THE FRONT LENSE COVER......Fingerprints dont come off, at least mine did not. Used gloves on the passing lights.... no prints
I'm **** when it comes to being seen by other drivers on the road.
Those LED's will make being seen during the day much better too..... good choice.
I try not to drive at night if possible... but LED's almost make it enjoyable.

when driving a car lighting gets my attention so when riding I like to have as much good lighting as possible. I upgraded the brake and rear directionals to all function as brake lights with the impulse 5 flash from Kuryakyn. My riding friends have commented on its attention getting.
The projection front three lights speak for themselves. To me good lights as important as good helmets
You wouldn't happen to have the part numbers by any chance?
