Went to the dealer the other day and saw they had a great deal on their '07 Softail Customs so I go back yesterday and inquire about trading in my Street Bob for one. Isay if they can find me a suede blue and black then I'll do it. He calls this morning and saysthat there's only one left in the state and someone has already put a deposit on it. I didn't like the other colors the dealer had so I'm out of luck, looks like I'm keeping mydyna. Then he calls back two hours later, the guy with the deposit couldn't get credit and they can get me the suede blue. Woohoo. Hate to celebrate someone else's misfortune, but oh well, I'm looking forward to getting my softail finally.
Faction, they're giving me $9000 for my '06 bob with 11,000 miles on it. Trading the bike in will also save me $500 in state sales tax, so it would equal selling it outright for $9500 and then using that cash on a new purchase. The '07 Custom is at $15,600 with no hidden set up or freight fees, just $15,600 plus the title and of coursetaxes on the $6600 difference between trade in and the Softail. Financing is 4.99% for 60 months. That's almost 3% less than what I previously had. I couldn't pass this up.
dg7080, nice bike. I sawthe pic of your bikeyesterday and it reinforced my decision to stick to the blue suede and black. The four days of waiting for it to get here are going to be long, guess I'll have to spend some alone time with the dyna saying good-bye. Maybe I'll turn it in with 12,000 miles on it.
Holy Snikees only $9K? Jesus Christ thats a rip off! I got $12.5 K for my Street Bob with 7k miles on it.
It must be a geographical thing? I paid MSRP for the 07 FXSTC w/ no set up or freight, But I didnt get 4.9% financing either, the best I could Barter was 10%. Guess it all works out in the end but the best part is you got a Kick **** Bike!! I liked my Bob but it cant hold a candle to the custom. Theres no Vibrations in the pegs or Grips , no motor shudder when you pull in the clutch , and its rides as smooth as silk.I cant find any handeling deiff in the 2 , Infact the Custom seems to corner just as good. It does float in the turns more than the bob did but thats to be expected. Kinda like a Vet takibg the turn stiff and the caddy floating through the same turn.Ive bought my last Harley , Im that happy w/ this Bike.Congrats on the new Bike and dont forget to toss us some pics in the Custom forum!!
Turul your right, there are not many this color around. I've yet to run into one on the road or any place I've traveled on it. I've seen one or 2 at the dealer over the past year, and one other on this forum that I know of, but thats it. I get a lot of compliments on the color too and I almost got me a black one, but the wife kinda talked me into the suedue blue / black.
