Default rocker swing arm

Well the Rocker "c" get's a color matched (to the frame) swing arm to make it appear as a rigid frame (that is the idea!). However the regular or non "c" gets a silver aluminum/mag whatever color applied to it. So the first mod to my Rocker is to R&R the swing arm and have it powder coated to match. Dealer says 4 to 5 HRS plus powder coat. About $500.00 for this mod ,worth it or not?

If it is that big a deal, get the C. My opinion is to not let a dealer mess with the swing arm on a new bike, especially, a new model that they have no experience with.

My wife was considering putting a chrome swing arm on her Deluxe but when I told her the dealer had to disassemble the entire rear end of the bike, she was asking for trouble.

I am just gonna get the C model...i was originally going to try to save bucks and get standard model but if you add up all the chrome you get,it really isnt a bad deal at all....chrome lower forks, chrome triple trees, light, handlebar risers,POLISHED wheels, painted swingarm, and the best thing is the BLACK AND CHROME motor, the motor on the standard model will look very BLAH next to the C model...also,the speedo, and gas tank shroud chrome....and you also get the custom flame paint...very nice.

I do think the black looks pretty cool in the standard model though, cause that stainless powder coat trim looks kinda cool next to the black.....Id lean toward black if I went standard.

as for swingarm....Id either chrome it or buy the C model.....

Cant wait till september!

THANKS ALL FOR YOUR THOUGHTS!
IN MY CASE I'LL SPEND THE DIFFERNCE
BETWEEN THE 'C' AND THE STANDARD ON
BIG BORE KIT, SCREAMIN EAGLE INTAKE,
AND BETTER EXHAUST, THEN IF IT DON'T GO
I'LL CHROME IT. BESIDES THINK OF THE TIME
I CAN SPEND RIDING INSTEAD OF POLISHING.

its easy to remove the rear tire..

then get to the swing arm

worst part about it rebleeding the brake...

when removing the tire.. do not loosen the bolts that tension ur belt (one on each side).. leave em alone

oh one more bad thing is when they assemble the axle bar into the tire..they dont use much anti-sieze compound so its a little bitch to get through..
just coat it up good when you put it back..simple

1. remove belt guard
2. remove debris guard
3. loosen axle nut after u take off the axle pin(paper clip thing)
4. jack up bike enough to roll out the rear tire.. put a support under the tire..
5. pound out the axle bar..not too hard..macho man...
6. before bar is all the way out.. still supported take off the brake caliper.. let hang or do it the hard way and undo the brake line.. clean up the spillage
7. pull belt off..the pully
8. pull tire off supporting it..to the ground
9. roll it out set it aside
10. remove tire guard
11. get to the swing arm mounts n all that.. remove...replace.. then put back the tire..n all
