05 Night Train runs rough
As stated above... this started happening the first time I fired it up a couple days after I washed. Usually after I wash the bike, I fire it up right away and take it for a spin to blow off the excess water. Didn't do that this time because my shoulder is injured and I can't ride.
Here's what I've tried:
All the connections under the seat were dry to the eye, but I checked them all anyway. Cleaned with contact cleaner and applied dielectric grease where applicable, including to plug wire ends at the plugs and coil.
Spark plugs looked good. Changed them anyway and changed them back.
Cleaned and dried the air filter.
Tried to clean the sensor in the hole in the carb inlet with the proper MAF cleaner. (got this idea from my brother)
Added fresh gas and some Seafoam (got this idea from a shop)
Any ideas on what to check or what to try before I really get into it or take it to the shop? It was running great before I washed it. The guy at the shop that recommended trying the Seafood said it might be an intake gasket leak.
