I think i'm gonna try it my stock slip ons then paint them black with the chrome heat sheild. I think it will good.

another upgrate istodrill an 8 m"m hole at the center of the baffle like on the performance baffles.
any one try this on a big twin?

That should work, and would probably sound better than drilling holes into the end of the baffle. I've tried using high temp black paint on the mufflers on my old Ironhead and it didn't stay very long. Powdercoat works better than paint and ceramic coating lasts better than powdercoating.
