This guy I buy my synthetic oil from was tellin me he thought a 160 would fit in my stock swingarm, does that sound right? He had an avon venom 160 rear we held up to see and it looked like it would clear. Anybody do it? Remember I've gotta 2005 NT...thanks fellas.
i have a metzler 160 on my 2005 fatboy. i was told the metzeler was the only tire and it had to be on an 18" rim. Mine fits great but there is not any room left
If you are running stock wheels, a 160 wont fit. Minimum wheel width for a 160 is a 3.5 in wheel. I am running two different brands of tires and have no problem with them. Dunlop Elite 3 on front and Avon Venom X on the rear. Tread pattern isvery similarand it handles great.
Imboden Here is apicof my 05 Train I was talking to you about. This is a 160/16 Metzler on a stock 05 Night Train wheel. The tire fits fine on the wheel and the spacing is better than it was stock. Spread the frame rails a little with a porta power. Have a little better than 1/8th" on each side between the frame rail and tire. Ride 2 up alot and this set up does not rub at all. Changed the stock 150 tire twice and both of them rubbed the ridge thats on the harley tire. I used 1/8" fender washers between the frame rail and fender to move the fender to the left and center it better.
