I hope when Harley release the 2021 models in January/February the Heritage is back to chrome.
Heritage is chrome not blacked out. I would like to see a Heritage with the springer front end. That's Heritage.....Time will tell what damage the china virus has done to Harley.

springer wont happen. Not cost effective for them.
Springers are gone forever. At least from the MoCo they are. The Federal mandates that made ABS a requirement on all motor vehicles has ruined that. Paughco has all the MoCo tooling and continues to make them, but they'll never come from HD.
If you're in the market, used is the only way to go anymore. Or build one.

Most motorcycle guys I talk to suggest it isn't "safe" for a springer. Meaning the force of the brake could cause some catastrophic failure in the springer setup. Some here suggest they didn't do it because it throws errors in the sensor. Something I can say is false as I put a springer on my breakout with the ABS sensor and I've had no errors in over a year of riding.
You can get new ones in chrome if you don't mind the 107, and it's not a bad motor, but I'm holding out for a chromed one with the 114. Maybe next year, or maybe I'll just stage 3 a 107. I know that's sinking more money into it, but I'd probably throw some money at the 114, too. I'd probably be happier with a stage 3 build on a 107 than I would be with a stage 1 114. Sounds like I'm starting to talk myself into something.
Having ridden them both, I'd say the difference between the 107 and the 114 isn't all that much, at least in stock form. For me, the 107 is plenty fast enough. I'm actually glad I bought the black version when you could get it with the 107. I had a bike with lots of chrome and wide whitewalls for 25 years and I got tired of constantly cleaning and detailing it. With the blacked out bike I only washed it twice all last year (7,500 miles).
