I am sorry for the stupid question but i am a new harley owner. I have an 04 Heritage and the bags are shot. I saw a local ad selling bags from an 07 heritage. will these work with an 04? Thanks!
Not a definitive answer
The bags are different part numbers ( could be cosmetic or dimensional differences ) BUT the fender struts / bolts and isolators share the same numbers so in my mind the attachment points are the same

Many are truly past the point of no return, but I worked wonders on a set of old bags with multiple leather treatments and one of the bag "stiffener" kits available... Sadly that was years ago before I started taking pics of everything, so I can't show the transformation... but you would be surprised what you can save... That is, if you wanted to..

You might also try adding some Viagra to some good leather oil.
Can you send a pic of the bags? I'm a believer some can be saved. Even some bag manufacturers will tell you they can be reshaped by a hot water soak for 10 mins and then "blocking" to shape while they dry. Of course if they're rotted or torn nothing will help.
