I want to add speakers to my 2003 heritage. I looked at the Harmon Kardon ones at the dealership with the built in amp, aux input and bluetooth. Not real thrilled with the price. Does anyone have any other suggestions that would sound good. A radio tuner would be nice, but not a necessity. Cell phone coverage for streaming is spotty in some of my area.
The possibilities are endless. Google around, use different words, I did motorcycle speakers and a ton of options came up. I've heard good things about the Reckless systems, but I decided to buy a fairing with the cut outs and have a system done using other components.
I ordered Lexin LX-S3 Bluetooth speakers from Amazon for my Heritage. Best deal ever. No trouble at highway speed, everything is self contained in the speakers, one wire to battery and one to ground. Comes with antenna which I didnt install.
I play it from my smart phone and the best is 99 bucks and free shipping.
Have you given any thought to speakers in your helmet and Bluetooth to your phone maybe SENA or one of the other brands available you can set them up for communication with your passenger and other riders
Like stated lots of options out there.
A lot depends on $$$ & you taste in the looks department.
I went with a fairing and Bluetooth (boat stereo, boat speakers).

Looks familiar
Myself, I'd go with the fairing
They got some KICK___ sound systems
(Plus the extra wind protection)
thank you all for the input. I like those Lexin speakers, going to check them out.
byersmtrco - I like those pipes, I bought a set like that used and super cheap. having them powder coated black over the winter and on they go. not a fan of the 2 into 1 look. and I am thinking of blacking out the outer rim with powder coat (like in this picture) bcuz I have a few spots of missing chrome and rust spots starting. that will wait - I just bought this one and it came with brand new tires. Can't bring myself to remount brand new tires.
