Default H-D ECM failure???

Has anyone had their ECM go south, but only intermittently ?
My 2012 FLSTC will increase 400~600 RPMs at idle and, if I bump the throttle, it will stumble or stall out. It does NOT do this all the time and is not throwing any diagnostic codes. Sometimes it does not like to restart after sitting for a bit...
So far I have replaced the intake seals, replaced the IAC motor and upgraded from an older Fuelpak to a PK3.

Is there anyway to get a valid test of the actual ECM???

Does not sound at all like a ECM problem.

Instead why not remove the FuelPak and try it using the Stock ECM ?

never had an ECM
but might not hurt to check connections and grounds for a hard to duplicate intermittent problem

start simple and cheap

Thanks for the suggestions. As for removal... I ran with no fuelpak for several weeks after replacing the intake seals - no difference.
I will triple check connections once again...

Maybe a bad ET sensor. Can cause erratic rpm engine issues.

Since nothing else has done any good and the ET sensor isn't too pricey, I've ordered one from J&P.
I have also reconnected the FP3. I'm hoping it just might record some data??? Don't really know if it does that or not.
Once the new sensor arrives, I'll post any news.. sure hope that solves the issue!

Check your fuel pressure, injectors, spark plugs and wires too. If it's damp old ignition wires and do strange things.

First , I would contact V&H through the help and support section in the FP3 program and ask them what map they would recommend for your bike , give them all the information about your bike , what's been done , air cleaner , pipes etc . Flash the new map and see if that improves anything .
It really sounds like your having and issue with electrical or sensor and not your ecm .

Check the bike for error codes , it might lead you in the right direction .

Pick up a can of electrical contact cleaner and unplug the 2 connectors just under the front of the frame , the regulator and crank position sensor . Give both ends a good cleaning , let dry and reconnect . Those two connectors tend to get dirty and covered with oil when an oil change is done .

Your issue sounds very similar to a bad crank sensor or iac .

The crank position sensor should throw a code if it's totally shot , but are known not to as well . Remove the sensor and wipe it off and see if your issue improves , part is cheap enough to replace if you want to give it a shot .

Your bike also comes with an iac . Place a rag inside your throttle body and give the pintle short blasts of tb cleaner , at the same time cycling your ignition , you don't need to start the bike , but turning your ignition on / off will cycle the pintle making it easier to clean .
