It was in storage not winterized for 2 years. Battery is good, can hear fuel injectors but instead of cranking it clicks. If i tap the start button a few times without engaging the starter to get some fuel in it, it starts to turn over but then clicking again. Hoping it is something simple but have a feeling I'll have to take it to a shop but would like an idea of what I'm dealing with and what it'll cost me first.

 

How did you determine that the battery is good?

Have you charged the battery?
Was the battery on a tender?
How old is the battery?

 

Sounds like a dead battery to me.

 

Just because a battery shows good voltage does not mean it has enough cold cranking amps (CCA) to turn over the motor. Take the battery somewhere and have it tested for CCA.

 

Battery is gone. Get your wallet out.
