Default New fuel pump sputtering on acceleration

Looking for help with 02 Fat Boy EFI -
Recently when out for a ride, I had my fuel pump fail. The bike just shut down and would not start.
I replaced the pump (All ***** Racing), fuel regulator, regulator housing, fuel filter, check valve, internal tank hoses, tank plate gasket and screws. I partially filled the tank and she started right up. I filled the tank completely with fresh gas, and took it out for a test ride (approx. 10 -12 miles). It ran flawlessly. The next morning, it started right up so I headed out. This time it was sputtering and missing on acceleration. Idle was good, revving in neutral was fine, wide open throttle was fine. Just breaking up on acceleration at the bottom of each gear. I took her home, swapped out the plugs and went for another test ride. This time it was sputtering and missing 10 times worse. I took the bike home to avoid getting stuck again. The new plugs turned slightly white indicating a lean condition. Could this possibly be a clogged injector due to stirring up crap in the tank while replacing the pump parts?
Any input is appreciated.

No wonder . . . someone filled my tank with whisky. I also found a severed finger floating in there.

I can see the whiskey affecting how the bike ran, but the finger should have been kept out of the fuel system by the fuel filter sock... ???

Yes it does...

I had nothing to offer you until your second post...

Unless you want me to just make up stuff like you did on your second post...????

I figured it'd be better to let someone with a similar experience shared their solution...

Sorry, that came off snarky . . .
I'm frustrated as f&$% trying to figure this out. You're right, I'm just hoping someone with more knowledge about this fuel system will chime in.
Man I miss my shovel w/S&S.

If you’re sure all the in tank connections are good; I’d perform a fuel pressure test, and go from there.

OP, no need to apologize to me... I'm OK with your comment, I was just trying to throw some humor at your comment as a bump to keep the post near the top... I certainly understand the frustration that can come with trying to sort out a problem...

I've never had an issue with a fuel injector on my EFI Harleys, so I have no experience with a faulty fuel injector on a Harley. I didn't want to comment on your original question about if the injector could be causing your problem...

Generally speaking, it has been my experience that whenever a good running bike develops a problem, after a mod or repair work, the problem is usually with either the mod/repair work done or something that mod/repair work triggered....

Checking the fuel pressure is a good suggestion... A pressure test at the tank connection should tell you whether to look at the repair work you've done in the tank, or the fuel system downstream from the tank...

But since the condition changed when you swapped out the plug wires, might be worth verifying you have good spark at the plugs too..

You will probably get some more suggestions/ideas.... sometimes it just takes a little time on this forum for people to chime in...

Good luck with your trouble shooting and keep us posted...

I don't have immediate access to a fuel pressure gauge, So I pulled the fuel pump assembly out again, just to make sure everything was seated correctly. It seems the regulator housing was slightly separated from the fuel filter. I gave everything a nudge and a squeeze and confirmed everything was clicked in place. I buttoned everything up and took her for a test ride. It is now running much better, almost like it was before I replaced the fuel pump assembly. I now have a little bit of a flat spot on acceleration with the occasional sneeze out the AC. When I bought the bike new, I had the 95 cu in kit as well as the Stage 1 option installed. Should I need a remap of the ECM after replacing the fuel pump?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
