Default 2001 Fatboy FLSTFI dying issue

that’s fuel injected I’m having an issue with bike wanting to die it seems to only do it for five minutes or so the check engine light will blink on for a second then go out then it will start acting up shortly after, it will run fine idling but when I hit the gas at all it wants to die like it isn’t getting any fuel it just started idling funny while it’s acting up any ideals suggestion I’ve already tried seafoam in gas tank

1st step is to pull the error code from your bike. Not sure if the FI process is the same as my carb one. Your manual will explain the process.
Good luck.

As mentioned, try to see what codes, if any, have been thrown..... That's always the best place to start... it can usually point you in the right direction to start your diagnosis..

Barring any codes, If you have a fuel pressure gauge, you should check the fuel pressure at the tank fitting..

In a 2001 bike, several things could be happening in the tank to cause a fuel pressure or fuel flow issue, ie: peeling tank liner, pinholes in the pump/regulator hoses, etc, etc...

If the pressure is good at the tank valve, then you know to start looking downstream from the tank.. Injectors, numerous sensors, etc...

Good luck with your diagnosis..
