That's just plain wrong. Once a you accept an offer, you don't just keep on selling or buying the item. Too bad you can't call on Mad Max and start chanting "Break a deal, face the wheel!"
An agreement to sell is a contract. Selling to someone else after agreeing to sell to you was a breech of contract. Depending on where you live or where she lives, you might be able to sue in small claims court for the funds you are out. If you buy another ride, you might even be able to sue for the difference.
Looks like the worst part of this story is that some ungrateful "person" won a bike who really didn't give a rat's a$$ about it, while there are plenty of people that probably can't afford one that didn't win a bike................
sorry dude that sucks, but i think the guys here are right i recused my bike from Katrina the night before she hit New Orleans. the right bike will find you!
I did call the dealership to see if they had any 07 softtails left. The guy said ya, we got 2 of them. I started to feel the hair stand up on the back of my neck when the guy said," we have a two toned something, & a green one". I said I was hoping to find a black one, & he said "nope, aint got no black ones". Man, I thought for sure I was gonna get to give a first class azz chewin. Oh well. I'm moving on. I've spent the last 4 nights sitting in front of the puter looking for my next bike. Have a good & safe weekend.

Just read it again and noticed that it was a dealership... I'd be launching a campaign of bad publicity against them myself until they reimbursed me for costs, or I felt that I had impacted their business sufficiently. But that's just me - I can be vindictive and hard-headed.
Great idea. He should e-mail them a link to this thread.
