Default 2005 Deuce foot controls

So I just purchased my first HD, and I bought a 2005 Softtail Deuce. We are in the process of cleaning it up and doing general maintenance on it. Only issue I have is the foot controls look aftermarket and the chrome is flaking off and rusty. I called a chrome plater and he is months backed up and seems to think I can get replacement cheaper than replacing. Problem is I dont know if these are stock HD parents or aftermarket and would like to use the same ones if possible. Thoughts on if these are stock or aftermarket and what I should replace them with.

Thanks, Erik

Same fwd control set on my 04. Including the cast levers. Mine have a tad different spurs. Mine have a solid heal lip.

Chrome is thick. So some medium chrome polish will clean that up. Not the pits. Mine doesn't have that.

I even have the Slick Willie Skull pegs. I ditched the rubber insert. On the back since I never do two up, I ditched both the rubber and frame. Left the peg since I have had to take on a passenger occasionally.

I have no idea who made them. Garage sale roadkill. A whole wrecked 2005 Softail for $100. I learned that if it has Harley on it, it will sell on ebay.

Any suggestions on new replacement foot controls? I am not sure what all HD models will work on Softtail Duece. The HD replacement are pretty pricey and they are going to be black, not chrome. From what I can see on some aftermarket websites, they range from really $$$ to really cheap. I know you get what you pay for.

Thanks, Erik

can buy used oem take offs from ebay or similar. can have them chromed if that is what you like. i had mine chromed about 20 years ago. still look decent.
or take your chances on some of the cheap imports available.

it seems what you have on there now are extended forwards for a taller rider. keep that in mind if they fit well.

seems like all you really need are the main brackets that bolt to the frame.

many year softails use same brackets.

best bet is to find oem part #'s online & search using those.

quick search turned up these just for a reference. should fit your bike. do your research before buying.
