The Progressive 422s with or without RAP will do just that. They allow you to drop the rear up to 2" while still maintaining ride quality.
Yes that is correct.. I'm using them in the rear but did not lower.. I like the stock height.. If I was to get them again I think it would be with RAP...
Not sure that the rear lowering kit will suffice with stock shocks if you're a big guy.. Guaranteed to rub the tire.. You would be better off with getting the proper shock to lower but still support your weight.. By going to a 21 in the front you will pick up a minimum of 1" in ride height so lowering 2" will put it to 1" under stock height to the top of the triple trees... I found a wide glide fender on flea Bay to replace the Fatboy fender.. The paint was a very close match, you have to look closely to see the difference.. I got lucky ..

Honestly I'm really not sure about the Burley kit, so don't take my word for it and I'm not trying to mislead you.. give it a shot see what happens.. I do know though with the stock shocks with me and my wife on there totaling 280 lb, we bottom out a lot so I don't know if an extender or whatever is going to firm it up I don't see how.. Plus You already paid for it...
I've been reading some about adjusting preload on softail shocks, and from what I'm reading if I adjust the preload for a heavier weight, that will raise the bike? So, which leads me to wonder if I lower with the Burly kit and then adjust the preload will I then just basically be at stock height? I'm going to try to talk to tech support there at Burly.
