that is an awesome fatty.

like it a lot. I have always thought about getting one, but it seems like it may be too heavy for me

Actually, if you check weights, the Softails aren't that much heavier than a Dyna.

Plus, because of the low seat height and center of gravity, my FatBoy "feels" lighter than my WideGlide.

I've owned and ridden just about every type of Harley during the past 35+ years, and to me the Softail's are probably the easiest model to ride.

But all Harley's are great in their own way.

After a coupla Superglides, the Softail is a MUCH better long rider. Maybe 50 lbs heavier? Who cares.

Even with the lowering kit, she is still easier over speed bumps.

Of course, that big ol' seat and the balanced engine have ta factor into the equation!

I owned a Dynabefore I got my Custom and the ride of the Softail is so much better. The Softail suspension is better no matter what the Dyna owners say. My old Dyna was either too soft and would frequently bottom out, or it was as stiff as a rigid. The Dyna shakes left my hands numb and long rides beat me to death. My Custom handles 900 miles like the Dyna handled 300. I wouldn't trade my Softail Custom in for any other bike, especially a Dyna.

If you're looking for a deal and don't mind an '07, my local dealer has their '07 Softail Customs at $15,600. A week ago they still had3 left, Cobalt Blue, Jake and Elwood Blue, and Red and Pewter. If your anywhere near Northern Wisconsin, let me know if you're interested and I can hook you up with their number. They also had a Duece for $16,300 or something like that.

i will let you know. I am in milwaukee and my local dealer had two left at 15,995. I am going to check out Hal's today and see where they are at with pricing. I found one that is two tone black cherry/black pearl and it looks pretty cool in that color scheme. I don't know that I want all that chrome on there, but I could always sell it and buy the powder coated.
