Default Best service manual?

2005 FLSTFI Fat Boy
I think I found an old Clymer service manual (friend has it), it it or Haynes or actually the Manual from the Harley dealer best? I don't want to have to download one online.
Do I have to go to the dealer to get a real Harley manual? Didn't see one on ebay.
I've been working on my bike and want to do the correct torques, etc. Plus I am messing with fall away on the steering bearings.

The FSM gives you the steps but from years ago the Haynes gives you some of the how.

I was looking for and found a 1995 HD factory service manual doing a google search. It was at an obscure on-line used book store. $50. Like new.

Never know where they’ll turn up.

I have found some with Google , E bay, Craigslist

On older one's it can take some time but the FSM is well worth it.
It you run across a electrical manual for your bike snag it as well.

For my 97 EG I found one on craigslist a few yrs ago. it had a phone # so I texted him and asked if I could call. He said yes
He was in Tenn. I'm in Texas. He was kinda hesitate and wanted 30 dollars for it. I told I'd give him 50 for it if he could ship it to me.
That got er done and it was well worth the 50 bucks even back then. 2010 are so

I have both the Clymer and Factory manuals for my Softail. I haven't opened the Clymer since getting the Factory one. Clymer is a waste of paper in comparison. Keep looking.

Factory Manual = hands down, no comparison better than the Clymer. I have both and I kind of feel like I wasted something like $45 on the Clymer new.
I bought my HD FSM on eBay in new condition, for I think $60 and it came with the owner's manual, some sales manuals, and a trip guide book thing all for my year bike.
Well worth the money. Really well-done factory service manual. Clymer - save your money.

No. There were significant changes between '05 and '06. Particularly with the electrical system. An '03, or '04 would be better options if you can't find an '05.

Just wait for the right year and model. One will come along.

If you don't want to wait I can sell you my Clymer that was maybe open twice -
