I have a 2011FLSTN Softail Deluxe, Im trying to have DNA make a 21" wheel for me but I need it to have an 11.8' Rotor instead of the OEM 11.5" . They say it HAS to be 11.5 but my new Caliper has to have an !!.8, also Arlen Ness says this fits my bike with an 11.8? Can anyone explain this to me, is it the Hub? I had a V twin mechanic, who has several Harleys, look up the part #'s for 2011 (mine11.5)) and a 2016 (new year w/11.8") and the part numbers are the same? WTH?
I can't see why you couldn't run a 11.8" rotor provided the caliper location is right.
I have a 15" rotor on my front 21" wheel.
OP, I apologize for the high Jack.
@S.D.M.F I was searching for a photo if this exact setup last night. 21 Fat Spoke with a 15 rotor! My decision has been made. Thank you!
OP, could it possibly be the caliper mount on the lower and or bracket is different? Id take a look at a parts schematic comparing your model year with the newer ones that come oem with the larger rotor.
Always make sure everything is available before going custom.
Not much help now, I know. I ask and research everything before custom orders.
Special order built for that new wheel, no doubt.
