Default Front Brake Single Rotor

Hello Everyone,
I put on a new 21" Dos Reis Rim from Southern Motorcyle and a wrap around fender with a new matching rotor. My mechanic put the single disk rotor on the right brake side of the wheel. I notice that all single rotor bikes with a 21" or bigger wheel all have the rotor on the clutch side of the bike? Is this okay? OR do people install them on the clutch side for purely looks? Thanks, it brakes fine and I have little to no pull to the right when I apply the break.

doesn't matter - left side is for looks - Harley's been back and forth over the years

and before the 'you're going to die with only one brake' people start giving you a hard time, a heritage softail has one brake and weighs within 100 pounds of a touring bike.

I'm not sure, I stayed with dual. I heard people say it balances it out due to the rear being on the right, not sure if that's true. Maybe someone who truly knows will comment. Post pictures, happy motoring.

It seriously doesn't matter which side it's on. I prefer the left on a Harley because I prefer the look of the engine on the right side. It keeps that side of the bike cleaner to look at. Functionally though it would be impossible to notice a difference.

The way I use my bike, its usually moving, it doesnt spend much time parked with people pointing at the cool wheel exposed by removing 1 disc, so I've kept both.

Do you say that in all the threads of riders showing off their customizations? In fact, I would guess the majority of Harley owners bought their bike because is looks as good just sitting as it does riding.

Did they give you back the left side? What year is your bike?

No, mostly just when people remove brakes.

They will give it back to me and they will switch it around if I want...I was just asking as to why or if it made any difference as to which side the rotor was installed on!
It's a 2004 FLHTI Electra Glide Standard

I can't see that there will be any functional difference which side the rotor is on. I suspect the reason why the left side is often used is simply to expose the bare and clean lines of the custom wheel, when parked up.
