Default price for stage1?

I took my 07 Deluxe in today to get the new grips and Rush 1.75" slipons put on. It was part fo the deal when I bought it so didnt cost me anything today. Anyway while I was in I asked about going Stange 1, they said with SERT, SE AC, labor and dyno time they would give it to me for $800 otd, that price covered as much dyno time as needed to get it "right". I was thinking about it until he said that they will be running 15% this winter. AS long as it isnt snowing I'd rather wait and get it for $680. So does either price sound fair?

Also wondering what stage 1 does to MPG? Im currently only getting about 35 in mixed riding.

That seems like a pretty good price. My stage 1 will be about $1050 otd, withthe only difference that I'm putting on v&h big shots. From the little bit of research that I've done it seems like most stealers will charge about the same amount, the only difference is the wages of the techs depending on what region of the country it is.

I paid 369 for my power commander III, and then 139 bucks for the stage I kit, I did it all myself. downloaded the map from the power commander site & that was basically it. there was some fine tuning stuff in there, but not much. If you like to turn a wrench now and then it's easy to do yourself, all you need for power commander is a laptop so you can work the usb....or some outfits sell the power commander with the map you need already pre-loaded...good luck makin your choice.

i just asked about going stage 1 today and was told 1-2k. the forcewinder was being sold for $390, the power commander I THINK is around $400, the pipes are anywhere from $390-??? and the dyno time was $75 per hour (the guessed it would be about 3 hours). then there is tax and labor. if i was good at electrical work, i would do it myself, but i am scared to try to install the PC3, and i have never done pipes before.

Well one way to know is to ask him if his cases were cracked for new fly wheels. That would be a 103cu in. if he didnt and just did the jugs, pistons and heads he would have a 95cu in motor. Now this is all HD stuff were talking. If he got after market stuff for just the jugs, pistons and heads, ive seen kits up to 98cu in.

crock, it is really easy to change out pipes, air cleaner and add a PCIII. If you have basic mechanical knowledge you can do it yourself. Pipes are easy. There are 2 nuts at the head pipe where it attaches to the motor, follow the pipes back and youll see about 4 more sets of bolts. Just undo them all and the pipes come right off. After that get your self some needle nose pliers and a flash light, look in the exhaust ports on your heads and pull out the old gaskets. It wont look like there is any in there but trust me thier are. next put new gaskets in.putting on new pipes will come with instructions and it will most likely include a new bracket to be bolted to your bike to support the open end of the pipes, just bolt on where instructions tell you to and your good to go. Next the PCIII, I would just order it from www.fuelmoto.com they will ask you what kind of pipes and air cleaner you have and will pre program it with a map that will be almost spot on. All the PCIII requires to install will be plug it in and all will be fine. The air cleaner is really easy too, 10 bolts and screws in total, nothing someone with a torx set cant handle. there is only one way for things to go on and it all comes with instructions. You could save yourself 5-700 bucks by just installing the stuff yourself and having it dynoed later.

THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD DEAL! A sert alone is $475.00 what I paid, but I had my DYNO a year ago and only $200.00 with my 1000 mile service, but now they say a DYNO-TUNE is $360.00! SO good luck!! PURPLE HAZE. P.S I'm lucky to get 35 M.P.G. but do a lot of city and high speed's on big road, but if I ride normal I get 42 M.P.G.

thanks sonar. for some reason I thought I was going to have to run a bunch of wiring through the bike in order to install the PC3. I think it is something I will work on over the winter. The pipes looked pretty easy to install but as we all now, things are not always what they appear. It is good to hear that they are not too bad.
