The way I am famiolar with is bringing key to locksmith, or getting number off the key, under plastic, and order one from Harley.
Am I the only one who thinks it was stupid to buy a bike with out keys is______?
Get a drag igntion for around $50. Not sure if you can get fork long after market. But if you got a key on the dash, easy to replace
Since it's a used bike, be aware that if the ignition lock has been changed, the new will not work. It's unlikely that the locks have been changed, but keep in mind it is possible.
Last time I ordered new keys from the dealer, I only needed the VIN and an insurance card with the VIN for the bike in my name. It took about 10-14 days to get the new keys.
Good deal. Buy an ignition switch from drag for $50. harley can order one matched for around $150. I have removed fork lork, but not lately. I would have to look to see if you need key to remove, if already unlucked. But can replace those 2 items, and still a great deal.
Either way it is 3k bike. Knock on wood bikes don't get stolen like they used to. People don't even lock them around here, I lock when I am gone for long periods. You could use various forms of external locks too
