After a season of riding my 2000 Heritage she found her way to the barn (garage) and decided she will not start again......she said enough.
Everything I can tell seems good, no recent work done. She cranks without even a pop and the day before she was out enjoying Jones Beach with me.
I will take of all the breather stuff off and twist that throttle to see gas squirt in the carburetor and go from there. Service manual mentions heavy oil in cold temperatures may cause crank and no start.....just hit 30 degree when it happened.
Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving!
Thanks for the help Duffy. Took off my breather to give the carb a spray while cranking.....not even a pop. So that crosses off carb trouble, jet is spraying from throttle.
Bought a Lisle spark plug inline tester.....no spark!
Daytona Coil is 4 months old.......Im very limited with knowledge of electrical and SM schematics.
Don't know what comes next other than a trailer ride to the Indy.
Thanks for your input

I would do some checking into all and any of the switch items that can stop spark. Kickstand switch, on/off handlebar switch, clutch switch if applicable.
Easy things first. Then I would do an Ohm check on the coil - just because it is not old, does not mean it can not fail.
Rethinking - Scratch the ideas on the side stand switch and clutch - You stated you are cranking [ rotating ] and have no spark. That eliminates those two ideas.

Thanks for the input. Im watching a few videos about no spark/start. Of course connections are always suspect but 23 year old components are also suspect. I am beginning with the crankshaft position sensor being shipped tomorrow. Then I will change the cam position sensor.
Worst case scenario is I will have replaced a few 23 year old sensors before I bring it to the best Indy I know......Rolling Thunder, Hempstead NY
