here is a Head quarters 95, similar to thebuild that I have.
10.5 compresion, ported heads, .575 GD cams, 2 to 1 thunderheader.
Mikuni 42, with HQ ignition

You were right about compression. Less wear and tear on the engine.Lower compression is always a good choice if it gets you the results you want.

Your air fuel ratio is all over the place, if you can smooth that out youll have a lot nicer torque curve to play with.

The blue lines are the "after" tuning lines, the reds are the before.

As for the Torque, for a 95 in. I dont think it gets much better than that!

Hi-Have 07 Fatboy, I am running V&H pipes staggered big shots and SE A/C and SERT with dyno tune by stealer at 1K miles

Max power is 74.21 and Max Torque is 84.21 A/Fuel 13.3 approx
run condition was 72 degrees 28 .00in Hg Humidity 15% SAE 1.05

I say do what feels right for you, and what you feel gives you the most value for your $$$!

I dont think one point of compresion means jack on wear and tear, its all in the tune and the maintance that follows.

The choice in your builder/machinist and parts selection has a dominant factor here too!

They are great figures. The torque is where you feel the grunt. I think the 2 into 1 makes a huge differance in power and torque as well. Mine hasa 95 cube, 42mm Mikuni,10.5 comp, heads flowed and cams standard for 89hp and 93ft lb torque. Cams are my next engine mod....
