Yeah I see what you are saying, that makes since to me. I also don't think the fuel pump is cutting out because I do smell fuel when I crank. Good information, thank you for looking that up for me!
Just as a learning point.....
You said earlier you have a carb & ICM. If you have a carb, you do not have a fuel pump to worry about.... It's all gravity feed through an in tank strainer, then petcock, then fuel line to carb... I believe you have the vacuum petcock, which has its own issues from time to time, but that is not currently your problem...
