THEY SEEM ro be just stamped steel with no silicone...i bought them and put the front on....now im rethinking bout taking them off and buying james...the coating on these seems to be very thin...id hate to have to do this all over...hesitiating on putting rear on....id like to get the original orange colored ones...they seem much better in compasison
heres what i bought...they use a play on words....title says "for" cometic....when i asked if these were true cometic he never responded Gasket For Cometic Rocker Box Gasket Replacement Kit #C9588 New US | eBay
Buy H-D gaskets whenever possible. It is one thing they do really well. This is from experience with both James, Cometic, and no name EBay gaskets.
You will thank me later.
anyone know where i can get the orange silicone ones? id trade some steel case 2 2 3 for them....i'll use these cheap upper gaskets because if they fail i dont have to take gas tank off

Orange silicone are HD gaskets....
Since HD stopped allowing online discounts, I've switched to getting Cyco Gaskets right from Cyco Gasket's website. They have silicone bead (look just like HD but not orange in color) gaskets too. They also have what they call "foamet" for some applications that have worked well for me, and appear to be a high quality gasket...Their prices are reasonable, but you need a $50 minimum to order from their website... they supply a lot of shops and other vendors...
If you need a bunch of gaskets, it would be worth your while to order them all from Cyco Gaskets.... good, quality gaskets and usually cheaper than HD. I maintain 4 Twin Cams, so I get a bunch at a time to get over the $50 minimum...
