Contrary to popular opinion, a 150 tire is wide enough to ride on.
No question about it, the 200mm rear is more for looks than actual carrying capacity, and in some situations it canactually become something of a liability, like in heavy rain. Fatter tires hydroplane a lot easier than skinny ones do.
IMHO fatter tires on Harley Softail bikes,240mm and up,may look cool but they have some serious liabilities and may even be a bit unsafe for playing hard in thetwisty's. The stock suspension geometry just isn't up to the challenge of controllingwheel and tire combinations that big and heavy. If you want a big rear tire andplay that kind of game you would be better off with a VRod, or at least a Dyna.
lol, my wifes shovel has a 130 rear tire, which is the same as the front on that new dyna. anyways, I gotta 05 and I love it. stock rear tire, I bought a two up seat for when my wife and I do ride together. that and I changed out the bars. anyhow sounds like a good price to me
Thanks for the feed back guys! I won't have to worry about the seat too much as I will MOST likely be riding alone well, at least with the wife beside me instead of behind me.
