Lightbulb Don't Like Farings

M8 Softail cruiser bikes are a perfect fit for me and my mainly in-town use of a bike. One reason is that I prefer a short windshield over a faring. (All of the gadgets on a faring distracts from my concentration on situational awareness.) But, I need a place to put mandatory documents and a few other things e.g.,an extra clip. The windshield bag and good handlebar mounts for my iPhone and Beeline Moto navigation device solve my limited communication, storage and navigation assistance needs in minimum space.

Exactly. Mine goes into a tank pouch every time. I retrieve it when I park the bike if I need to.

I don't care what bike I'm riding, the phone goes anywhere except where I can see it ... pocket, saddlebag, backpack ... bye, bye phone.

Phones and GPS don't belong in view on the bike to me. Just old school I guess.

If you really want to know the difference between a flat windshield and a batwing fairing put one on a Sportster.
