Engine idle
I noticed that when my bike idles, it is around 950 and bumps to 1000 sometimes but normally stays around 950. The check engine light is also on and made an appointment to have it checked but I was wondering if this idle is normal. New to HD so don't know what to expect.

Look at your owner's manual under EITMS and see if that is what is happening.

Even though the check engine light went off, it may be a good idea to see what codes if any are there. If you have codes, write down what they are and clear them to see if they come back. If they don't come back you are good to go. These newer bikes have all sorts of stuff going on computer and electrical wise and will tell you if there is an issue.
