In other words I don't have to agree with what the smart tune recommends but it's awful easy to just click ok and let it do it's thing.
yeah it's very easy to agree haha. I've done the smart tune 3 times now. The bike works awesome but it could be that's its just my first harley. From my understanding though I can change the ratios manually, but the smart tune will bring them back anyway. Am i right in saying that?
One thing that really bothers me about the data is I have psi selected for units but it's still showing the a/f ratio in kpa. I have to convert myself because I'm used to psi.
Just did another log and the ratio is getting better but only baby steps at a time. Ive managed to reach 14.4 psi at cruise which is light throttle. Heavy acceleration is showing me 12.4 which is ok. I think a few more rounds and it should be dialed in.
As far as the tuner goes, it really takes its time, where as a seasoned tuner would have this setup in one or 2 pulls. I own a 2008 mustang gt that I installed cams and a supercharger on. No easy feat for tuning, but my guy had that setup in 3 rounds. Too bad he only does mustangs haha.
Pro street is from Harley. They will run lean. Because they are a manufacturer, and a lawsuit, they conform to eps rules damn the engine. Engines run cooler and perform better with a richer mixture and last longer too.

My M8 runs even richer with the SE Pro tune, M8s run rich stock. No secret.

M8s breathe well and adjust to the airflow based on what the ECM is set for. That doesnt mean they run rich, it means you can make more changes that the ECM is programmed for by a HD product allows.
HD is under an agreement with the EPA to only go so far.
I just bought another bike, 2021 RG and I am reaching out to FM for information on tuning. It runs great but Im not happy with low end torque in higher gears. Im still adjusting to riding the RG but I think my 2011 RKC would probably eat it alive.
I dont want top speed, I want throttle response (torque) for passing and avoiding obstacles.
