I'm looking for a little advice. I picked my bike up from the dealer 2 days ago because they had it for 3 weeks and didn't install any of the parts I wanted installed. So last night I installed the exhaust and today in using the smart tune setting on the pro street tuner. My questions are
1. will the smart tune feature get me where I need to be?
2. When I use the smart tune it only let's me choose one cylinder front or back. Does it matter which I use?
Sorry. It's a 2023 fat bob and I installed vance and hines short shots.

There's video's on youtube that you should probably watch because it sounds like you're getting into a detailed tune. Smart tune on mine takes a recording that you make while riding the bike and then it recommends changes. You just click ok.
It's actually scary what I can do with mine because you need to have a really good idea of what you're doing when you start custom tailoring. It's not a good tuner for the average guy.
It's actually not that detailed. The only reason I bought this tuner is to keep the warranty. The short shots are catted pipes. Yes without using the smart tune you can really mess up for sure. I'm wondering though if I log enough will it eventually make the changes needed

What exactly are you doing? As confused as when reading original post
I'm choosing the smart tune option. Recording a log, then applying the resulting changes to the tune. Having no experience with this tuner, I'm wondering if someone can give me an answer to my question. I can only apply the changes to either the front or rear cylinder. After 3 logs now the a/f ratio sits at 12.5 under cruise. It should be closer to lean at light throttle. 12.5 is good for wide open throttle but optimal for cruising should be between 14.5 and 15.5. Im wondering if this tuner will eventually take me there.
Okay, gotcha, personally, I have never been given an option. I am asked if I want to make changes after looking at the data. I am of no help. Hopefully someone jumps in thats experienced this.
the sad part is, i dont think the harley tuner gets any better than about 14.5 A/FR...EVER, you can try to change A?F or even the lambda tables...but the back door side you can see will over write that and return to a lean state.
thats is one of the biggest reason, the after marker tunes do so much better....
I can manually change the AF ratio across the board or just at specific points if I want but I'm pretty sure I have to do the recording procedure first. I'm no expert either but I do have a decent understanding of how everything works.
