Whats up guys, I have a 12 FatBoy Lo with about 20k miles, currently it has a Vance/Hines exhaust and Roland Sands air cleaner. I want to get more power out of the 103 on lower to mid range rpm and maybe hear a sick cam lope. I was told by the dealer that due to the mileage ill need to rebuild the engine first. Any suggestions on how to proceed?
I have a 2011 heritage with a 96 with 55k miles. Before doing the work the shop did a health check. 180 psi in both cylinders and .0025pinion runout. Went ahead and installed 551 easy start cams. Did before and after dyno runs, great lope sound and 14hp and10 torque increase. Great low to mid range increase. come on about 1700and off close to 4500rpm.
Best advice , I think, have independent do engine check then make decision
sorry about that, wont happen again. Yes i fixed those issues, i took the rear wheel to Brooklyn Mayd, a shop near my work place, they removed the snapped bolts and mounted a new sprocket. While i had the wheels of i decided to get them painted, wasnt much fan of the polished silver lip the wheels come with. In regards to the other issue i was having, you guys were correct with diagnosis the battery was shot i swapped it out and the bike started right up. Ill be sure to post this on thay thread and update it on that side.
