I'm going to charge the battery and see what happens.
Thanks for the replies, this issue has me guessing!

Have you done a study on that?

Don`t buy parts, don`t guess.
Take a deep breath, just work one issue at a time:
Charge the battery and then have it load tested.
Remove battery cables, clean the terminals and the surfaces they contact.
Clean the terminals at the starter relay and the starter solenoid.
Check the service manual and make sure the starter jackshaft components are installed correctly.
Once you have done the above you can start troubleshooting.

The battery was load tested Saturday, and I cleaned the terminals and surfaces at battery and also at the starter, and the green solenoid wire contact, cleaned the starter relay connector with contact cleaner, and wire brushed everything, also cleaned the ground contact under the seat.

It's installed on the starter motor, and I'm sure it's installed properly, the counter bore is facing outward towards the shaft.

You have done everything needed, time to reassemble and give it a try.
