Mike, I think I found out why the starter cranks with the key switch turned off.
I think I forgot to tell you that when you ran the wire between the silver stud of the main breaker to the starter relay, you must also disconnect the original wire that powered pin 30.

At the ignition relay correct? I'm thinking it's a good thing I put the switch in the wire, that can be a way to disable the starting circuit, theft prevention .

I was thinking that as well. If the original wire to the relay was hooked up, and the jumper added, you may and apparently are able to crank the bike with the key off.

Exactly, with wire disconnected, everything is working like it should.

I disconnected the wire at the ignition breaker, and everything is working like it should, good job Dan 👍.
