Default Fairing on a fatboy

Anyone ever put a fairing on a fatboy? I was thinking of trading up to a roadglide but adding a fairing to the fatboy would be a lot cheaper. DragonFly makes a really nice one but a bit pricey.

Thinking about adding a fairing to my Fatboy also. I have another web site you can look at Softbrake.com This company was at the Myrtle Beach rally and their system looked nice. These fairings are quick release and mount to your windshield brackets. I saw them installing one on a Fatboy while I was there ad it looked sweet.

I saw an ad for the Dragonfly farings in one of my mags a couple of months back. They say that it bolts up to the forks just like a standard windshield but I don't know. I thing you would have to get big Heritage bags to make it look right. Just my opinion.

I think you should trade up. Better still, why don't you sell me your fine lookin Fatboy then you can go shopping with cash in hand. I started looking seriously recently and yours looks... hum, let's just say it would be a pleasure to come down to KY from NY to pick it up. (For a fair price of course).

Do you do alot of SERIOUS riding? If that answer is yes and you pile the miles on a bike, a Roadking is a great upgrade. But that being said, you can setup the Fatboy to be a serious touring rig also thats 100% worthy of long road trips, you can pack on a ton of touring bags, big plush 2up seating and a good high quality detachable windscreen fairing. I think what you have to look at is the overall big picture. See what you can possibly sell or trade the bike in for towards a Roadking, see what the cost difference is vs. just upgrading your current fatboy to your needs and decide for yourself there whats best.

Not trying to be thick but why turn a Fatboy into something else? It doesn't sound right, it could be just me. The most I will do is to add a detachable batwing/stereo setup for long trip, that's it!
