Kickstand help
And second.........that lowering of the bike is the problem.
You need to get a shorter JIFFY STAND for it as lowering the bike changed that attitude.

The other issue with the kick/side/Jiffy stand is the angle of the "foot" tends to dig into rough surfaces or soft asphalt instead of sliding outward, which prevents it from locking in the fully deployed position.
Parking with the stand on the uphill side of a slope amplifies both issues, especially for shorter riders and riders that lack sufficient leg &/or upper body strength to lean the bike over without dropping it.
When my wife rode the Heritage she learned to be conscience of which way the parking space sloped before she parked.

And yeah, I figured the lowering could have messed it up. I did notice prior to the lowering that it still required me to lean to the right. I have a friend who has the same bike (2019 tho), said she never had to lean it to get the stand up 🤷🏼♀️. Hubby is going to put it up on his bike lift and see if he can't modify it. If not, I guess I'm looking for another purchase.
. At least I'm not the only one 🤷♀️The other issue with the kick/side/Jiffy stand is the angle of the "foot" tends to dig into rough surfaces or soft asphalt instead of sliding outward, which prevents it from locking in the fully deployed position. I've noticed that also . . . I learned pretty fast to kick the thing a good couple of times to be sure it's in the locked position. Not because I was frustrated or anything, of course . . . . 😋.

Yep. Moved to NC from MI, boy the roads are WAY DIFFERENT. Had a hell of a time getting acclimated/training myself to be really, REALLY cognizant of the roads slope/tilt/etc. In MI all I had to do was dodge potholes🤦♀️ . . . that skill does come in useful for avoid road kill here though.

I'm going to do some more digging, and I SOOOOO appreciate everyone tossing out their 2 cents! Thank you so much!!!
P.S. Love the heritage in your photo, wife has a beautiful ride!

Harley had a lowered rear shock for the Heritage, up to just the other month. Now it's gone from their web page. Grr!
But, they still list a lowering rear shock for the Fat Bob, that drops the rear about 3/4"

Very usefully in their details is this:
"Installation requires separate purchase of Jiffy Stand P/N 50000127."
That is for the Deluxe, the Sport Glide, the Slim and the Low Rider.
Not the Heritage. The heritage takes a 5000152 stand stock.
But, since there's virtually no difference between the Deluxe and the Heritage, it should work just fine on a Heritage.
I'd probably go ahead and order the recommended 50000127 jiffy stand and give it try.
At the least, or perhaps first, I'd go to a dealer and examine the heck out of the stands on a Sport Glide or such, looking at length and angle both.
