The Sport Glide stand is what I put on my Fat Bob to replace the FixStand. It is about 1" shorter than the stock Fat Bob stand and it is glorious. It's the way these bikes should have come from the factory.

The part number I cited above comes on several different models -

Thanks for posting the pics, appreciate it. This is for sure something I will really consider, like you I tried the fixstand and removed it, I thought it sucked, and I think the factory kickstand on the Heritage also bites.

Just so y'all are aware (which I think many are not) it's been my observation that not only does rider weight play a role but also the resultant shock preload settings which in effect can jack the ride height up or down a considerable amount enough so that if you have the shock set soft the bike will have low ground clearance which will make getting the kickstand down quite the chore where you'll hafta tilt the bike to the right a good amount but if you have the rear shock set to its stiffer settings the ground clearance will increase and the stand will swing right down.

HulkSS talks about how he bought a Fox shock that's a bit longer than stoick to increase swingarm travel for both a plusher ride and increased ground clearance which makes getting the stand down a breeze but this is with a Heritage so pending model YMMV.

I'm going to try it. I had to park on a steep incline at Bikeweek and it took all I had to keep from dropping the bike when I leaned it wayyyyy over to the right. Thanks for the info.

A taller seat could help, too.

The OEM seat isn't known for comfort beyond a 30 minute ride as it is soft foam only. It feels good and comfy in the showroom, enough to get the bike sold and out the door.

if you're gonna upgrade the seat and you have >30" or so inseam, the HD Hammock seat lifts about an inch and makes the kickstand much easier to kick down, in addition to having a good quality riding seat.

Did you post in the wrong thread? I don't see a connection between the seat and the kickstand. Also, my 115 pound wife can ride her bike for hours and the factory seat is fine. And my fat 260 pound *** rides it all day too without issue. This is the only bike I've ever had where the factory seat was actually worth a crap. The kickstand sucks, period.
