OMG - Now that's a F-A-T-Boy. Looks great man. I was considering buying a couch (Street Glide) for my second bike, but damn. Now you got me thinking about another FB...
I agree.. been lurking around these pics and info. That's one KickA#$ Fatty! It's amazing you can either go retro-50's-cool or new-hotrod-custom with these bikes. This is one of the best examples of the latter that I've seen. Thanks for the pics of it all splayed out on the bench.. That's the fun part.. Seeing all the guts torn down and back together. Turned out great! Congrats! [8D]

Where are the install pics? I have yet to see em anywhere......
Ahh, ok. Fat2five0: I see you did the smart thing and cut out the fender to mount the ECU if Im not mistaken? Heartland tells you to wrap it forward and stick the ECU under the seat, but I didnt like that Idea. I assume there is no clearance issue with your tire and the backing of the ECU mounting box? I havent gotten that far yet, havent had any time, just wanted to get the word from you. Seat fit over it fullt too with no issues?
Just remove the plastic ECU housing and it mounts in fender with no clearance issues at all , cut fender a little smaller and it fits in there tight just pushing it in ,then bolt ECU to it as normal, I had a power commander , but because of the way it connected where the old ECU did and then piggybacked the power commander off of that I did not have room for all that extra cable and the coupler, so I opted to remove the power commander and just flash the harley ECU, I wish the power commander was a direct replacement fot it then I would not have to do this, fit fine with stock setup ,but with the 250 space is at a premium, anywaY now I also have a powercommander for sale for a 2000 & up softtail if any one is interested make an offer
email is nperry34@msn.com , I know Zippers has a direct relacement but cost is pretty high I think around $450 , glad you found the pics MegaHD, I have more, just thought I would put a few from each stage of the process in gallery. was just about to tell you about the little camera under avatar but JeffD beat me to it. Fixing to go to my local HOG chapters CHRISTmas party. Lets put CHRIST back in CHRISTmas , and protest all this Happy Holidays BS. sorry I was about to go off on a rant I guess thats for another thread, got to go.
